Dakota Proctor:

Dakota Proctor has been many things: musician, artist, waiter, addict, depressive, brother, lover, and friend. This winter he invites you to Fall in Love with him on an intimate string of dates filled with confessional songs threaded with humor, whimsy, and pathos. Proctor started playing music at a young age, and has pursued music in the North Carolina triangle and Los Angeles over the past 15 years. He is also an accomplished painter often blurring the line between sound and image, weaving the two mediums together into a beautifully messy harmony. Proctor writes from the soul and from experience. He can build a flowery narrative only to cut through like a knife with his acerbic wit and tongue. He builds sonic woozy worlds, with hand strummed guitars, shakers, ghostly harmonies and warm fuzzy organs.

His music lives somewhere between tenderness and abrasion, intimate, human, and quietly unafraid of its own mess.
