Island Moons:
American singer-songwriter Brandon S. Harwood, professionally known as artist Island Moons, has two decades of live performance and songwriting experience under various forms. However, while living in NYC, new inspiration struck in the midst of the COVID-19 silence with no contact except for the life of an expectant baby. A surge of creativity ensued and he began to sing and pen his thoughts with a newfound voice. Taking his songs into the studio in upstate NY, he discovered his artist’s name after finding a manuscript of William Blake during the session. He emerged with 4 singles released in 2023 and a debut EP (fall 2025) that combines indie, psychedelic, and folk-rock elements. His versatility in songwriting and arrangements takes listeners on a journey, residing somewhere in the musical space between Radiohead, Bowie, and Cat Stevens. He enjoys playing solo or with his band, and relocated to Chapel Hill, NC in 2024.
Ski Team:
Ski Team‘s (aka Lucie Lozinski) new album Burnout/Boys is a collaboration with producer Philip Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Westerman, Buck Meek, and many more) and Josh Bonati (Wild Nothing, Sufjan Stevens, Mac DeMarco) for mastering. Taking a leave of absence from her career as a writer to make this debut album, Ski Team set out to balance agency with acceptance; you can’t fix everything just by trying, most things fall
apart, and the uncertainty that follows is often where the deepest feelings happen. Her sound is also a balance — between the melodic sweetness of layered vocals, observational humor of the lyrics, and a diverse array of instrumentation. Ski Team is currently on a solo tour, performing stripped down versions of Burnout/Boys songs on guitar and voice, with drum machines and pedals to juxtapose these sweet, intimate, quasi- Americana songs with harder sounds.
Oso Optimo:
Oso Optimo is a rock trio made up of members of Yearling (Tragic Hero Records), Dakota Darling (Firefly Records), and Jack The Radio, and was founded in 2008 by George Hage (vocals, guitar, keys), Larry Dempsey (bass), and Michael Schroeder (drums, vocals). The band blends 90s alternative influences on their 2008 debut album The Great American Short Stories, which the Independent Weekly said the band “...wear attachments to Weezer's Pinkerton and Foo Fighters' The Colour and the Shape on their sleeves. Luckily, they wear them well.” and Southeast Performer described the band's debut as, “...a charming example of the variety found under the umbrella of indie rock with its passionate, mellow vocals set off by heavy guitar riffs.” After a 17 year hiatus the group is returning in 2026 with new recordings, new music, and some live performances.
