Process // Sleep are a screamo band from Greenville, NC. Taking inspiration from bands such as Orchid and Majority Rule, they fuse old school screamo with black metal and post rock elements. Process // Sleep released their debut EP “Wherever You Think You Belong, You Probably Don’t” on March 20th, 2025 under Middle Man Records and Tomb Tree for physical releases on CD and tapes respectively.
Inspired by an eclectic mix of artists like Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Masayoshi Takanaka, and Dave Matthews Band, musician Hazen Rowe utilized his high school digital music production class to create and release his first song, Come Home, and since then has created his debut album, Seconds Before. The algos say it is Zoomer Gaze. The sound definitely pulls from Indie Rock, Shoegaze, and Grunge, with a hint of Jam. Hazen composes, plays all instruments, and handles lead vocals on all original tracks released.
