The Poonhounds are Raleigh’s loudest, rawest, most unbothered rock and roll institution. Born in the late ’90s out of the old Brewery scene, the band blends AC/DC grit, early Van Halen swagger, and Motörhead-level attitude into a no-frills, high-volume assault. They’ve also been described as “Shit-kicking Ramones”. With Stike on guitar, John Placko on drums, David Quick on guitar/vocals, and Jac Cain on bass/vocals, the Hounds are back after a number of years away. Louder, meaner, and still refusing to grow up.
